Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No, everything runs locally; nothing leaves your device. All your data is processed directly on your device ensuring privacy and security. If you opt in to use the network models then the data will leave your device, but this is not the default.
Are there any limits?
None. It's your own local AI models, allowing unlimited usage without any restrictions.
What models are supported?
The app is powered by Apple Intelligence, so it runs completely privately and on-device. You can also use other local models like Llama and under settings you can setup server models like gpt4.
Would you support feature X?
Maybe. I built this for myself and it's very opinionated. There's too much complex, overengineered software out there. I aim to keep things streamlined and functional.
Can I use ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes, that's coming up soon.
Will it work on my old Mac?
Rebound only runs well on Apple Silicon Macs. Intel Macs are not powerful enough to run these big models. For iOS it works on devices that support Apple Intelligence, but older models can use the network models via settings.
If I want to update, do I need to buy again?
No, you receive free updates forever. Once you purchase the app, future updates are included at no additional cost.
How much will it cost me?
This is a one-time small payment app. Pay once, use forever, and get all the updates as well. If you use network-based models, you will only pay for the number of tokens you use with services like OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini.
